Vincenzo Auletta was born in Benevento (Italy) on February 22, 1964. He received the Laurea degree in Computer Science (cum laude) from the University of Salerno (Italy) in 1987. He received a PH.D degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Napoli (Italy) in 1993.
Since July 1991 he has been with the the Dipartimento di Informatica ed Applicazioni "Renato M. Capocelli", Università di Salerno.
His current research interests are in approximation algorithms, algorithmic game theory, mechanism design, distributed computing, web services, security.
He is a member of the of the Research Group on Algorithmic Game Theory and Microeconomics and of the Research and Development Group on Network Security and Cryptography.
His research is partially supported by European Projects AEOLUS and COST295 DYNAMO and by the University of Salerno.
